Nigerian boxer’s face blown off by bullet in the U.K

  • Shocking footage has emerged of people struggling to help a semi-pro boxer who had “half his face blown of” in a suspected gang shooting in London, the latest incident of horrific violence to hit the capital.

Oluwafemi Omosuyi, known as Femi, 22, had recently come back from training in Dublin when he was gunned down as he sat in a car outside Oliver Goldsmith Primary in Peckham, south London, with pals.

Mr Omosuyi is being treated in hospital while a friend was also injured in the attack. Gruesome video published online showed him lying with blood pouring from his face.

Friends said he was also stabbed last year, allegedly by the same attackers who gunned him down. And on Saturday evening while spending time with friends Femi was blasted with a shotgun through the window of a blue Ford Focus just yards from his mum's front door.

He was flown to hospital where he had emergency surgery and is now in a stable condition, his mum Stella Aladetam, 53, has said. Detectives are appealing for information over the shooting, which comes amid a spike in London violence.
