Armed Robbers Who Attacked Super Eagles Star Onazi's Jos Home Caught In Lagos
Few days ago, Super Eagles Player Onazi who lives abroad revealed through his instagram that the robbers who besieged his palatial home in Jos have been nabbed.The Lagos state command paraded 5 suspects arrested in connection with the robbery of one Wilson Obande Onazi - the father of Super Eagles player, Ifeanyi Onazi Ogenyi - on 12/09/2016
They were arrested at Shobiri Hotel, Ajagbandi area of the state at about 7pm of 14/9/2016 ,while they were trying to dispose off the highlander jeep with Reg. No. GMU 300 AA which they snatched from the victim.
The commissioner of police, CP Fatai Owoseni while parading the suspects said the Nigeria Police Force under the Inspector General of Police, IGP I.K. Idris is well more positioned and poised to ensure that criminal elements, no matter where they commit crimes are pursued and apprehended. The suspects will be transferred to Plateau State for further investigation and prosecution.
Speaking on the robbery incident, Super Eagles player Onazi tweeted two days ago: "Those robbers came, pretending they were there to deliver a letter to my dad at about 1.40pm on monday. But as soon as he collected their fake letter and asked where it was coming from they swooped on him, tied his hands, beat him up, inflicting machete cuts on him in the process. They told him this is the first in a series of attacks that they will launch on our house and that I( onazi) will be their target the next time."
