MAJEK FASHEK,TUFACE to perform @ AFRICA MEETS REGGAE MUSIC INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL in LAGOS
The annual edition of Africa Meets Reggae & World Music
International Festival is set to hold in Lagos come November 26th,
2016.This year’s edition promises to parade an array of stars across Africa
such as Nkulee Dube, the daughter of the late great South African Reggae legend
Lucky Dubee, along with a list of others such as Big Bob, from Sierra Leone,
Redfyah from Ghana, Illest Nana from Ghana, among others. The festival will be
held at the Hockey Pitch National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos Nigeria on the 26th
of November 2016 and will showcase the top names in Reggae and world music and
also upcoming artistes. The South African singer joins the international and
national artistes line up that has the likes of Malaika,Oritse Femi,Seyi
Shay,Presh,Captain Blazee,Saint Peters,Isaac Billyman,Jethro Lion,Empero Zig
Zag,Sweat Reggae Band and Faith Okosu, the daughter of late Sunny Okosu.The
headliners and artistes for this year’s event include the magical Majek
Fashek,the mystical Victor Essiet and the Mandators,Tuface Idibia,Eljai(Belize/USA)Patoranking,
King Wadada,Pasuma Wonder and Small Doctor among several others. Africa Meets
Reggae and World Music International festival is franchised to Victor
Essiet(The Mandators),(Mystic Records USA) for Nigeria /Africa. The festival gives
Reggae and world music new exposure and awareness to music fans in Nigeria,
Africa and worldwide. Speaking about the event, Victor Essiet said “The founder
of this international music festival based in the United States of America gave
us this franchise in 2013 and then we brought it to Nigeria in 2014 for the
first edition of Africa Meets Reggae Fiesta. The success of the maiden edition
has made subsequent festivals not only possible but successful and therefore encouraging.”
The tickets for the event are sold for N10, 000 for VIP with
tables, N5000 for VIP without tables and N1000 for all guests. The event is
endorsed by Federal Ministry of Information and has Kenyan airways as the
official airline for the Africa Meets Reggae Festival.
