Former Central Bank Of Nigeria Governor and the current Emir Of Kano,Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II recently met with Pope Francis yesterday in Assisi, Italy, during the final meeting of the World Day of Prayer for Peace where over 400 religious leaders from around the world gathered to pray for world peace.The EMir who was born into the Fulani Torodbe (Sullubawa) clan of Kano on 31 July 1961 was crowned 8 June 2014 as the Emir of Kano, succeeding his late grand uncle Dr Ado Bayero.Althoguh he is a muslim faithful, he was excited to have a handshake with the pope and also posed for some photographs.
