An explosion has rocked the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City on Saturday night. Law enforcement agencies revealed that the explosion erupted from a dumpster on a busy street around 8:30 pm injuring 29 persons. New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio said no motive has been detected but stated the act was intentional. A second unexploded device in a pressure cooker was also found on 27th street a few blocks from the scene of the explosion.
Earlier on Saturday, a pipe bomb exploded in New Jersey apparently targeting a US Marine Corps charity race in Seaside township.
