Breast Cancer Survivor Goes Nude To Raise Awareness

A breast cancer survivor Ericka Hart recently went nude to raise awareness for women battling with breast cancer. The 30 year-old sexuality educator was diagnosed with breast cancer, 2 years ago and she beat it. To raise awareness and provide visibility for Black queer women who are battling with or have battled breast cancer, she attended this year’s Afropunk Fest in Brooklyn, topless, revealing her double mastectomy scars. .

Breast cancer claimed the life of her mother when she (Ericka) was just 13 years old. When asked about the motivation for her decision to go topless, she said: “I want people to see breast cancer survivors as not only warriors, but as sexy AF!”
