Ogun State Pastor Wale Fagbere Goes Deaf & Dumb,WhileTrying To Demolish A Shrine In Ketu,Lagos
Evangelist Wale Fagbere was rendered unconscious and speechless at the weekend after invading a community shrine at Ketu – Ayetoro in Yewa North LGA of Ogun State, in a bid to pull it down. He was believed to have been trapped at the shrine by forces suspected to be spirits. .
Fagbere was reported to have earlier told his congregation that he had been directed by God to destroy all the shrines in Ketu community. He was said to have boasted that he would flatten the shrine where the community traditionalists congregate to worship.
But he was said to have been rendered motionless until people spotted him. It was gathered those who sighted him in his agony, unable to lift his feet, raised the alarm, which drew attention of priests in charge of the shrine.
The priests insisted that they had to perform some rites before he could regain his sense. The rites were performed following the intervention of Alaye of Ayetoro, Oba Abdulaziz Adelakun, who appealed to the priests to ‘release’ him. .
Ogun Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the incident and hinted that Fagbere may be charged with “sacrilege and malicious damage.” He said: “Everybody has right to worship anything he so desires. The victim has been revived and handed over to his family.".... after he gave his life to d gods....
