36yr Old Woman Who Stabbed Her Husband In US,Faces 4-50 years Jail Term
36-year-old US-based Temitope Adebamiro, who was living in Red Lion, Delaware accused of murdering her husband last year, has plead guilty to manslaughter and a weapons offense. Sahara Reporters reports.
Temitope initially gave conflicting accounts of the events leading to murder of her husband, Adeyinka Adebamiro.
Temitope’s tale included: a power outage whereby she then discovered that her husband had died mysteriously in the bedroom and later, a separate assertion, that her husband slashed his own throat.
The power company, Delmarva Power, reported to police that there was no power outage at their residence at the time. She is facing 4 - 50 years in prison when she is sentenced in December. She allegedly stabbed her husband, a pharmacist, in the couple’s home in April 2015.
According to police and court documents, the two had been married for more than 10 years, during which time she told investigators that he had physically abused her, even while pregnant with their two children.
She also told investigators her husband had been cheating on her with various women, including her own sister and the nanny’s daughter.
Temitope did not immediately admit to police that she killed her husband, but instead suggested her husband stabbed himself and changed her story several times.
When police told Temitope that his death was not a suicide, the woman “began nodding her head in agreement,” according to court documents. She was charged with first-degree murder.
After her arrest, Sahara Reporters interviewed her sister, who claimed Temitope was the one cheating on her husband and said she was involved with juju and dark magic.
These revelations were supported by evidence described in police reports detailing a photograph of Adeyinka with an ‘X’ across his face and a cut across his neck.
